Transformation
In my art I have moved from quite realistic painting to abstract painting.
I am interested in shapes, their size, their colour, their movement in and out of space.
Simple minimalist shapes evoke a flat, open realm. Their Immobility and movement are in perfect tension. Through the forms I want to show how we walk through and inhabit the physical world, evoking not only a visual but also a physical response in the viewer.
My art is not aimed at aesthetic satisfaction, but at the desire to make the invisible visible.
By transferring planes and forms in my paintings, I have moved on to the desire to convey personal emotions from what I have lived. I am surprised every time I observe inside unexpected reactions to the outside world, how it refracts, breaking inside, passing through the facets of personal history.
